transl_french.csv is the file that will be shipped with each new version of Géométrix. It should never be modified neither deleted. Any new term or expression coming with an updated version of Géométrix, will be added at the "top" of this file, between delimited lines beginning with % as a first character and followed by the date of its creation. The additionnal lines that may appear along with the updates of Geometrix 4.2 should be inserted by the translator on top of the file "trad_dyn.csv". trad_dyn.csv is the name of the initialization file used by Géométrix. It is the file to be translated. It can be edited in a simple editor such as notepadd++. '|' is the delimitator. trad_dyn.pl is another generated file that will take into account your translation. You should always have the proper R/W rights on the installation directory. The file trad_dyn.pl is generated from "trad_dyn.csv" and then used by Geometrix. Most of the cells are delimited by apostrophes. Do not remove them. If one needs an apostrophe inside a word, it should be doubled, for example the french word l'égalité should be written l''égalité. Each line contains a few cells. The one to be translated is always the 2nd occurrence of the french expression (starting from the left). For example : fr_e 'n' 'appartient à la droite *AB' 'appartient à la droite *AB' will be translated : fr_e 'n' 'appartient à la droite *AB' 'belongs to line *AB' Special care should be taken with messages containing Géométrix "variables". The first character of a Géométrix variable is an asterisk ( * ). Variables beginning with G_ are Prolog variables, the main programming language used to develop Géométrix. No variable should be modified. They should be kept alike whatever the target language might be. Do not translate, for the time being, the lines beginning with "constformel". Important notes : You will also find in this additionnal zip file the freepascal/lazarus files that will fit to your language as far as some constants are concerned. Once unzipped, you will select the file corresponding to your language and copy it to the application directory. The first extension hints at its language. For example, lclstrconsts.es.po, is the file needed for a spanish version of Geometrix. Email contact |
